It was an unusual day. Many teachers were absent for morning assembly. I was bewildered for one second when I noticed it and exchanged glaces with Jun Xiang. The next second I had the answer. A more important thing was gonna take place.
Maths lesson was cancelled. We were informed that Civics took its place. We were waiting. We were waiting. Waiting. Waiting. A familiar figure strode pass the window that faced the corridor. Around twenty pairs of eyes focused on our form teacher. My gaze slid away from her, falling onto the two sheets of paper lying on the table. Two words popped up in my mind: Overall Results. I sighed. It was not my results I was worried about.
Yes, I do hope there were NOT too many people being transferred. I DO care about their results. The night before, I received a call from one of my friends. Excited, he told me his teacher-in-charge informed him that he got a 2 something for his grade-point-average (GPA). But during PE, he told me his GPA actually missed the TA base line by 0.1. Hopefully his appeal would be approved. And there were more. Worried, I made several calls during lunchtime regarding the GPA affair; though my own results were there, I could not be cheered up at all.
I do not wish to describe the English Enrichment lesson in the afternoon. You've already known all about it. Today I'm having lunch outside with my relatives. So, cheerio.
