Okay, since I was urged to blog faster, here it goes. But firstly, let us solemnly mourn the people who died in the 5/12 Wen Chuan Earthquake in Sichuan Province, China. It has been a real suffering and ordeal for the victims. And I wish each and every one of them could have our blessings. Let us all pray for them, giving their mental support to overcome pain, physically and mentally, and let them regain the anticipation of seeing the first light of dawn.
Day 2 (I): Tough Wolves
The silence of nights was marvelous. Everyone was in sound sleep except for me, who woke up once or twice as I did not have a sleeping bag. I had my bones against the hard floor. As a result, I got up early.
Pin Qi IC returned me my valuables and offered some biscuits for breakfast to me. Then I set off to attend College Day Ceremony. Clapped, clapped, clapped, Ceremony ended. I ate some buffet and called Trinity IC. Across the phone, I learnt that I have to proceed to City Plaza, Paya Lebar to look for Annabelle IC. At first I was expecting Trinity IC to give me a time limit. But there was none. So off I went, with 16th House Committee Standardized Blue T-Shirt.
I was early when I reached there, so I was told to stroll around (in the building). However, knowing there was no point of walking in the Plaza, I went to hawker centre out of the building on the other side of the road, and had Ice Lychee there. I looked constantly at my watch. I had to say, part of the reason was the reunion with the rest. On my way back to City Plaza, my phone rang. Annabelle IC informed me that Alpha warriors had come. I jogged, and saw Gammas at the cross road. Although I did not know many of them at all, since we are One House Committee, and they showed surprise (I was not with my House), which was a sign of recognising, I greeted them. Victor (or Weektor, according to Theen Yew) repeated what I was informed and I went inside the building, joined my fellow HC members. I missed them even I was only away for six hours. But actually that was long enough. We greeted each other loudly and commenced the mission. The outcome of it was that, our Friday-Would-Be-Captain Theen Yew was wearing. Erm, let me put it this way, it would be seriously disapproved by all the healthy (in both senses) passers-by. We all burst out laughing, including the miserable victim. Theen Yew wanted to use our bagpack to cover, but Tiong Wei seized it away from him with a mischievous grin. “Oh my god” was all Theen Yew could manage.
We then jogged to the rest of the stations, including smearing our tooth with Oreo and showed our grin to the customers in a food court, and a more embarrassing assignment. I felt stupid and crazy. When we were asked to ask a question to a customer, he scrutinized us from top to bottom and had a mixed look of surprise and perplexity, and murmured a “can you ask someone else”. Our last assignment was to eat the watermelon without assistance of hands. We, the Wolves of Alpha, wolfed down the melon.
Day 2 (II): Cooking, Being Cooked and Others is coming up soon…
