Phay Key, Tiong Wei, Asheem and I took random photos
after HC Nominee Meeting
I have written my entry in a completely new form. And by the way, I finally have the time setting of my cbox fixed. Well, here it goes.
Zhi Hao has described one of his post as “neither out of inspiration nor motivation; just a mere case of fatigue, frustration and the unfortunate lack of a listening ear.” I acknowledge that it happened to me sometimes also. But most of the times, I would just like to have some of my thoughts, voices to be shared. And I define this particular post of mine as “an opportunity to divulge my virtual perspective about my current you-know-what ambition, and a glimpse of my Tom Marvolo Riddle’s Diary”. Of course you know I am no Riddle, what I mean is: a sharing of a tiny bit of my past memory.
To elaborate on the first part of my definition, I would like to say:
If I do not get the post in HC that I wish to run for, then I have one more person to congratulate.
If I do get the post in HC that I wish to run for, then I have 16 + 10 +1 more people to thank.
Similar figure of speech:
Alpha (Zephon) House: Wolves, ferocious when alone, deadly as a pack.
Scorpia (a spy fiction of Anthony Horowitz): One stung, twice as deadly. (Here, Scorpia is not a scorpion. It is a fictitious criminal organisation with motto of Sabotage, CORruPtion, Intelligence and Assassination.)
Mega House Function:
Preparation and Serving
I rushed straight away to the Hall after the HOD of IP ran through my Open House Physics Presentation with me; helped Chun Kiat joined the black veils together with tapes, and helped Ge Lin to transfer a scarily large amount of beverage to the space under the table. We were told to have dinner after work (around 5:40) and report back at 6:15. Hence I went to the hawker center opposite school with Kaizen, he had Milo Dinosaur, and I ordered Carrot Cake (Large) and some fruits as well. Then we headed back to fetch our shirts and pants. Hell, I forget to bring my belt. But it did not matter, it just a minor decoration, for my case. After applying wax and using spray for fixation, I finished styling my hair, and went back to the Hall with Kaizen. Shi Yun gave us instructions about serving food, and as time was almost up, off we went.
The music was played, and Ryan presided the function, with a black mask covering his face, only eyes and mouth could be seen. A lot of people that I know have turned up, including Ngia Fung, a.k.a. Bobby, two of my senior scholars Wang Meng and Chen Meng, and also Gavin, Zhi Hao, Glen, Jie Han, Haggy, a.k.a. Yu Hang, Kirk, Nat, J Peh, J Pung, Peng Ho, Keith, Chun Siang, Zong Ye, Lynette and Daphne. It became so crowded that before I could walk three steps from behind the veil, the snacks were gone! So later on I walked from the other side of the veil, so people there could have a share of food as well.
End of the Shift & the Recovery of PI
My shift ended at 8:00, and I finally was able to grab some drink from the bar and joined Glen and Jie Han at the sofa near the door. Later on, I went to the balcony outside the Hall with Kaizen for some fresh air. He said he was troubled by not able to help Tiong Wei, who was on MC, to get his PI in the pigeonhole outside the staff room. There was no access to that place at this hour. I considered it. No, there should be one way. I recalled that the door between the second and the third floor of the IP Block was never locked. Last year, when I left my stuff in the locker in IP Block, I could went to the third floor through the staircase outside the auditorium and went all the way to the third floor of IP Black, went down, and get my stuff. Would it work the same for the LT2 side corridors? I was thinking when I climbed the staircase. Yes. And – yes, pigeonholes. Kaizen found the one belongs to his class, and – Tiong Wei’s PI. “Call him.” I told him, and he started dialing the number. Later, after speaking to Tiong Wei on phone, we passed the PI to Ms Thangam who was sitting in canteen, chatting with Delta House Teacher-in-Charge Miss Lim, and asked her to hold on to the PI so she would have something to refer to if she received a call from Tiong Wei. But our PW teacher and Teacher-in-Charge was more interested in how we have our access to the staff room. We told her, and she was astonished.
End of the Function
Ryan thanked everybody who made the event a success and called an end to it. He removed his mask and helped cleaning the bar. We nominees started piling up chairs and cleaning tables. Chairs first. Then Ji Teng, Delta HC Member and I carried the tables down. Two at a time. Others followed. Then the Hall was swept and mopped. We had some leftover snakes, when down to the canteen. Short briefing conducted, hands clapped, and everyone dismissed.
Now, the second portion of my definition.
Memories.

And finally, a well-known quote:
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.
"I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
"I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!"
