The Ten joined Power.

The new Age is about to begin. The Age in which the Wolf howls again.

It was the first time I saw a grin spread on Jaren’s face, whose word was something I could never forget. It unified the power. The Power of Ten. It touched me. He pointed at the Alpha Notice Board. Something which I had seen for countless of times either when I passed by or read it on purpose. But this time, I felt the emotions of the Board. I felt its life. An unnamable feeling was building inside me.

“It is something you would have to maintain from now on. Because now Alpha is in your hands. You are the 16th Alpha House Committee.”

I expected him to name the chosen ones, but instead, we were informed about this. Amazing and surprising. Especially when only a few minutes ago, I was still unsure about my membership. We were allocated into different groups. And I was not asked to join Tiong Wei’s group, which worsened my worries. I joined another group which led by Safwan and Mei Yi.

A clear sky. With grass field glimmering under the sun. Safwan and Mei Yi described today as a sunny day. It was hot, I would say that. Particularly when my mind was burning by uncertainty and anxiety. I tried to banish them away, but I failed to do so. Somehow, for me, their jokes seemed to cover up the frightening fact that I feared to know. But it had to be broken to us eventually. That was when Jaren called us together and revealed the good news to us.

However, I felt loss. Emotions were expressed by the girls. Loss. I did not intent to show it, but I could sense it deep in my heart. And it was disturbing me. Some of us did not make it. They are my friends. After going through all these things. All these happiness, worry, and weariness. I was sad for them. But we are still One. And some day, all the nominees would join together once again, and celebrate the bond that once existed, and continue existing.

New challenges are lying ahead. Challenges that might engulf time into nothingness. Challenges that might waver the Power. This might be an inevitable process, in which pain and suffering dominate. Nevertheless, the Unification awaits us. The Glory awaits us. It is a new Age. Age of Theen Yew. Age of the 16th Alpha House Committee (2008 – 2009)!
